Working on behalf of Cheshire West & Chester Council, Rivington Land is development managing Chester Northgate – a £300 million, 700,000 sqft mixed-use city centre regeneration.

 

The 5.8 hectare site occupies a significant part of the north-west quadrant of Chester's city centre and the scheme's open streets will seamlessly extend the existing city centre and provide:

 

  • a 100,000 sqft department store
  • a 6-screen Picturehouse cinema
  • shops, cafés and restaurants
  • a new food hall and market
  • multi-storey parking for more than 800 cars
  • a new 167-bed, 4-star Crowne Plaza hotel with spa and conference facilities

 

Having secured the key anchors, achieved planning consent and taken the scheme through a public inquiry for a CPO and road closures, Rivington Land is now continuing with pre-letting and preparations for the start of construction.
